Welcome to the Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services (MCOACS) Senior Services Page! We are proud to be the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Malheur County. Our mission is to support seniors in living healthy, fulfilling, and independent lives, and we've been dedicated to this cause since we were founded in October 1975 as a private, non-profit organization.
Since 1981, MCOACS has been providing services under Title IIIB of the Older Americans Act, as well as through Oregon’s state-funded Oregon Project Independence (OPI) program. These programs help ensure that seniors in Malheur County have the support they need, whether at home or within the community.
We are committed to improving the quality of life for seniors and their caregivers by offering a wide range of services.
Our services include:
At MCOACS, we also encourage individuals to give back to their community by volunteering their time and talents. Volunteering is a wonderful way to support the seniors in our area while making a meaningful impact.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, a loved one, or looking for ways to volunteer, MCOACS is here to serve. Our team is always happy to answer questions and help connect you with the resources you need to thrive. We look forward to being part of your journey to a fulfilling and independent life!
